For FDNY Fire Safety and Education Unit
Through support from the FDNY Foundation, the FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit is seeking retired FDNY Firefighters and/or Officers to serve as Fire Safety Educators. Educators are specially trained to conduct public education and community outreach through: presentations at local schools, community/faith based centers and events; planned safety education campaigns at firehouses and/or EMS Stations; interactive demonstrations utilizing the Department’s Mobile Fire Safety Experience Trailer; and participation in community initiatives that equip New Yorkers with resources and information pertaining to fire safety.
