Retired FF in Need of Kidney Transplant Retired Firefighter Jim Dorman, Ladder 13, has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at the age of 66. Doctors have informed him that he will need a kidney transplant as soon as possible to avoid the need for lifelong dialysis. Jim and his father are both retired members of the FDNY, and Jim is reaching out to the brotherhood in hopes that someone may be able to help him find a kidney. If you, or someone you know, is able to help, please contact Stony Brook Medicine Kidney Transplant Center at 631-444-2209 or Stephen Knapik at 631-444-6944.
