NORWEGIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADEThe FDNY Vikings will be marching in the Norwegian Day Parade in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, on Sunday, May 19, 2019. All are invited to join. The Vikings will line up on 3rd Ave, between 83rd & 84th Streets at 1:00 PM. The Parade steps off at 1:30 PM and proceeds along 3rd Ave to Bay Ridge Ave, turns right to 5th Ave and finishes at the reviewing stand on 67th Street between 6th and 7th Ave. The trailer with the replica of a Viking
FDNY CSU SPECIAL NEEDS GROUPThe FDNY CSU Special Needs Group will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, May 21, from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM at Friends of Firefighters, 199 Van Brunt St, Brooklyn, NY 11231. WOMEN TO WOMEN SUMMITThe Office of Diversity and Inclusion is hosting the 3rd Annual Women to Women Summit: Co-Creating Courageous and Compassionate Communities on Tuesday, May 21, at the Auditorium of 9 MetroTech Center. This full-day event, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, will include several panels of guest speakers to inspire those within the Department and at other NYC agencies. The event will also feature spoken word performances, an empowerment walk, and a lunch hour mindfulness walk. All are welcome to attend. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
