MAYOR’S GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
DCAS has announced that the filing period is now open for the NYC Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship Program (MGSP). All City employees have the opportunity to apply for graduate scholarships through funding made available by participating MGSP colleges/universities in the New York City area. MSGP is a competitive scholarship program for City employees that offer partial or full scholarships in a wide variety of fields such as Computer Science, Education, Business and Public Administration, and other profession-specific programs. To be eligible you must be a full-time City government employee; have completed an undergraduate degree by the fall 2020 semester; and be actively employed by the City of New York at the time of application and while pursuing your degree. All applications must be sent to Lizzette Perez-Cruz, FDNY College Advisor/Registrar, Bureau of Training/Fire & Life Safety, 401 Murray Avenue – Fort Totten, Bayside, NY 11359, no later than Friday, November 15th, 2019. Information about the MGSP program, application process and a list of participating institutions is available online at www.nyc.gov/mgsp or you may contact Lizzette Perez-Cruz, at 718-281-8465.

20 YEAR REUNION
A 20 year reunion for members in the November 14, 1999 probationary firefighter class will be held on November 15, 2019. For more information please contact James Sicilian at jimmydlock@yahoo.com.

2019 FDNY BIKING COMPETITION
On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 0900 hours, the “Fit to Fight” FDNY Biking Competition will be held at Randall’s Island. All Fire/EMS personnel are invited to register for the event at no cost online at https://www.fdnypro.org/bike/ by November 11, 2019. Fastest 24 teams win a Concept 2 Bike for their firehouse or station. One EMS team is guaranteed win a Concept 2 Bike for their station. The event is presented by the FDNY Fitness Unit and sponsored by the FDNY Foundation. Check out DiamondPlate for more event details.

CSU QUARTERLY GATHERING
FDNY CSU Christmas Quarterly Gathering will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Coffee & Bagels at 10:00 AM, 12 Step Meeting at 11:00 AM and Lunch at 12:00 PM. Wear your ugliest sweater!! Bring a friend, all are welcome.
