TUNNEL TO TOWERS BROTHER TO BROTHER REMEMBRANCEThe annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5K Run will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Members are invited to participate in a Brother for Brother Remembrance and hold a banner to honor and remember our fallen brothers who made the supreme sacrifice on 9/11/01. FIREHOUSE KITCHEN TALK: EFFECTS OF 9/11 ON EXPOSED CHILDREN & FDNY COMMUNITYJoin Friends of Firefighters tonight, Wednesday, September 25, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at their Red Hook HQ (199 Van Brunt Street, Brooklyn) for a firefighter-prepared dinner followed by an informative presentation from Dr. Amsel, MD, on the effects of 9/11 on exposed children and the firefighter community in New York. Dr. Amsel is a FoF Board Member and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University. Free for active and retired FDNY members. No RSVP necessary. 10TH ANNUAL BRAVEST BBQThe 10th annual Bravest BBQ will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 (rain or shine) beginning at 12:00 PM at the Hillside Swim Club, 151 Signs Rd., Staten Island. Tickets are $25 for adults, children under 14 are free. Picnic includes food, drink, music, rides, games, and will honor 2019 “Man of the Year” DAC Andrew DiPadova (Ret.).
