2019 NEW YORK CITY LABOR DAY PARADE The 2019 NYC Labor Day Parade will be Saturday, September 7, at 10:00 AM. Parade steps off from 44th Street and 5th Avenue. BATTALION 57 SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL MASS The Officers and Members of Battalion 57 invite you and your family to share in their Memorial Mass on Wednesday, September 11 at 12:00 PM, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, 856 Pacific Street, Brooklyn (Vanderbilt Ave. – Underhill Ave.) All family, friends and neighbors are welcome. In a special tribute to the Firefighters from Battalion 57, 23 FDNY Ceremonial Flags, led by the American Flag, will be marched from the site of the World Trade Center to the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Anyone wishing to march in this procession should arrive at the quarters of Engine 219/Ladder 105 (494 Dean Street, 718-965-8219) no later than 9:15 AM. JOHN MARTINSON MEMORIAL PICNIC The 12th Annual Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic will be held Saturday, September 14 (rain or shine) from 12:00 – 6:00 PM at Hillside Swim Club, 151 Signs Road, SI, NY 10314. Cost is $50 for adults and $20 for children (ages 13-20) and children 12 and under are free. Tickets available at the gate. There will be BBQ food, beer, wine and soda, 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction, live music and rides and attractions. Make checks payable to Lt. FDNY EMERALD SOCIETY PIPES & DRUMS CIGAR NIGHT FDNY Emerald Society Pipes & Drums will be hosting a Cigar Night Fundraiser on Monday, September 23 from 7:00 – 11:00 PM at Vetro by Russo’s on the Bay (164-49 Cross Bay Blvd, Howard Beach, NY 11414). Cost is $130 per person and includes 5 cigars, full buffet and full open bar. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door.
