Woman (57) arrested in Lyra McKee murder investigation released April 23 2019 A 57-year-old woman arrested in connection with the murder of Lyra McKee has been released unconditionally. The woman was detained under the Terrorism Act in the Creggan area of Londonderry on Tuesday morning. She was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning, before being released on Tuesday evening. Lyra McKee, a 29-year-old journalist, was killed during rioting in the Creggan area last Thursday when a gunman opened fire on police. Police have said they believe dissident republican group the New IRA were behind the attack. The group have since admitted responsibility for the murder. Belfast Telegraph Digital
